Floor Plans from IFC Models
Auto-generated floor plans from IfcBuildingStorey elements. Click any storey in the Sections panel to navigate to that level with a clipped 2D plan view. This demo loads the Snowdon Towers architecture model with multiple storeys.
How to Use Floor Plans
- Open the Sections panel - Click the scissors icon in the left toolbar (automatically opened in this demo)
- Select a floor plan - Click any storey button to navigate to that level
- Explore the plan view - The camera switches to a top-down orthographic view with section cut
- Exit floor plan view - Click "Exit floor plan view" to return to 3D navigation
Floor Plan Features
Auto-Detection
Floor plans are automatically extracted from IfcBuildingStorey elements in the IFC model. No manual setup required.
Elevation Sorting
Storeys are sorted by elevation from lowest to highest, making it easy to navigate multi-story buildings.
Section Cuts
Each floor plan uses a horizontal clipping plane positioned at the storey elevation to show a clean section cut.
Interactive Selection
Click on elements in floor plan view to select them and view their properties. All viewer features remain available.
