Free Online DWG Viewer - No Upload

Open DWG and DXF files privately in your browser without uploading them. Inspect layers, layouts and measurements. No AutoCAD or signup required.

Open a real CAD project

Try a complete DXF drawing. It opens locally in your browser and is never uploaded.

Remote sample sources: dxf-json, dxf, and dxf-parser.

How to view a DWG file online

Choose your drawing

Select a .dwg or .dxf file, or drag it onto the page.

Process it locally

WebAssembly converts the DWG locally in your browser.

Inspect and measure

Use layers, layouts, snapping and measurement tools.

A practical DWG viewer for quick CAD review

Inspect lines, polylines, circles, arcs, splines, dimensions, text and blocks.

DWG & DXF

Open binary DWG drawings and ASCII DXF files.

Layers & layouts

Control layers and switch between model and paper space.

Measurement

Measure with vertex and line snapping.

Private by default

Conversion and rendering run locally; files are not uploaded.

Supported DWG versions

The viewer supports DWG R13 (AC1012), R14 (AC1014), 2000-2002 (AC1015), 2004-2006 (AC1018), 2007-2009 (AC1021), 2010-2012 (AC1024), 2013-2017 (AC1027), and 2018 or later (AC1032).

Application-specific custom objects may not render exactly as they do in the authoring software.

Why won't my DWG file open?

Verify the file type+

Confirm the extension is .dwg or .dxf.

Check its DWG release+

Use R13 through R2018/AC1032.

Use a desktop browser+

Large drawings need more memory.

Export an ASCII DXF+

Use DXF when a proprietary object cannot be converted.

Do I need AutoCAD to open a DWG file?+

No. The browser viewer lets you inspect a drawing without AutoCAD or another desktop CAD installation.

Are DWG files uploaded to a server?+

No. DWG and DXF files are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded to a server.

What is the maximum DWG file size?+

There is no fixed file-size limit. Practical capacity depends on device memory, drawing complexity and browser resources.

Can I edit and save DWG files here?+

No. Flinker is a viewer for inspecting drawings. Use a CAD editor when you need to change and save geometry.

Why are referenced drawings or objects missing?+

External references and application-specific proxy objects may not be embedded in the DWG. Bind the references or export a flattened DXF from the authoring application.
